Earthquake in Turkish, Istanbul
Mar 13th, 2008 | Category:Breaking News, World NewsAn earthquake of magnitude 4.8 hits a small Turkish town outside Istanbul on Wednesday but no injuries or damage were immediately reported.
The earthquake occurred at 8:53 pm local time. The epicente of this earthquake was in the town of Cinarcik about 50 kilometres across the Sea of Marmara, from Istanbul. The earthquake was felt in Istanbul & other nearby towns.
Cinarcik was among areas devastated when two earthquakes hit northwestern Turkey in 1999, killing about 18,000 people.
