Curfew in Pakistan after religious violence
An indefinite curfew has been imposed in the northwestern Pakistani town of Hangu after sectarian clashes. In the clashes, at least 4r persons including a policeman dead & 25 others injured. Rival Sunni & Shia groups clashed with each other with heavy weapons, including mortars & rockets on Friday which coincided with the celebrations to mark the Persian New Year “Nawroz” & the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammed.
Security forces have started to patrolling in the city after the violence took place. One police official was among the persons killed while two policemen were among the 25 people injured, they said.
Hangu had witnessed violence in January on the occasion of Ashura, which marks the death of Prophet Mohammed`s grandson Imam Hussein.
