The CBI today clears Jagdish Tytler in 1984 anti-Sikh riots case. A case was registered against Tytler, a Congress leader and former Union minister, for the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
CBI on Thursday pleaded in a court in Delhi that the case against Tytler be cancelled. The court has put the report for consideration on 9th of this month.
The decision of the CBI was made public on Friday. Hence, there were protests outside the court premises by Sikhs in hundreds. The Sikhs in great numbers raised slogans against the Congress government, the CBI, Tytler and also against other senior leaders of Congress like Sajjan Kumar and Kamal Nath for their alleged involvement in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.

Counsel for the 1984 Sikh riots’ victims H S Phoolka accused the CBI of being “hand in glove with Jagdish Tytler.” He also said that there may be some serious flaws in their report and that’s why the CBI does not want the report to be shown.
The counsel also alleged that Jagdish Tytler was well aware of the CBI report much before the final report was laid down before the court.
