Blast in Bus killed 20 in Colombo
At least 20 people killed & 40 others injured in a bus blast in Colombo on Friday. The explosion in a bus in a southern suburb of Colombo came two days after suspected Tamil Tiger rebels blew up a rail track near the Sri Lankan capital wounding 27 people.
The latest explosion targeting civilians comes as the Sri Lanka’s military presses on with an offensive to retake the Tigers’ northern stronghold in land, sea & air attacks in a civil war that has killed more than 70,000 people.
