After “Nargis”, Dhaka warns of cyclone “ABC”
A day after Cyclone Nargis hit Bangladesh & swerved to Myanmar killing 351 people, the meteorological office Monday warned that one more cyclonic storm was developing over the Bay of Bengal. A senior meteorological official said, “At least one cyclonic storm may develop from the depressions in the Bay of Bengal this month”.
The cyclone, would be named ABC, from a panel of code names selected for the Bay of Bengal cyclones of this year. According to the report, the northern and central regions of the country may experience five to six moderate to severe thunderstorms.
