Mechele Linehan the former Alaska stripper has been sentenced 99 years in prison for plotting the 1996 shooting death of her former fiance.

Mechele Linehan was sentenced in Anchorage, Alaska, to 99 years in prison. The 35 years old Linehan was convicted in October of first-degree murder in the death of Kent Leppink. Leppink’s body was found on a remote trail.

An official said that the Linehan had Leppink killed for insurance money & was inspired by a 1994 movie, “The Last Seduction,” in which a woman coaxes her lover into killing her husband for money.

Linehan had mistakenly believed that Leppink had named her the beneficiary of a $1 million insurance policy prosecutors said. Linehan pleaded with the judge for leniency before handing down his sentence.

Mechele Linehan said, “I have not lived a life of greed, manipulation or that of a fictional character of a Hollywood movie. I beg you, from the bottom of my heart, to allow me the chance to go back to my family”.

Linehan has lived recently in Olympia, Wash.
