4 Pak soldiers killed in ambush along LoC
Jun 20th, 2008 | Category:Breaking News, World NewsFour Pakistani soldiers have been killed & three others injured when an army patrol was attacked by unidentified assailants in a thickly forested area along the Line of Control in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The Army patrol, on a routine scouting of the LoC along the Buttle sector of Jajira area, detected some “unknown assailants”, on the Pakistani side & they opened fire at the soldiers. Two soldiers were killed on the spot while two others succumbed to their injuries in hospital.
The army rushed in reinforcements counter the attack & exchange of fire between the soldiers & the assailants continued till late in the evening on Thursday. Due to the remote location of the encounter site, nothing can be confirmed about the incident till a proper investigation has been conducted.
